Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name could be spelled by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. The artist has already recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the band Oasis in a commercial for Christmas by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. It earned her some recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding a piano in her attic and being fascinated by the sounds it would produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to pursue music for development of her own, not to earn money or to pursue to pursue an interest. She began to write with her own music. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as being her influences. Her mother was supportive of her performing her songs in public, not to achieve fame, but rather in order to show others that they matter and how they can make a difference to make a difference in the world. At age 6 she started playing the piano and at nine, started writing songs. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known by her family until she reached the age of fourteen. It was never a dream to turn into Aurora. The singer says that she simply likes writing songs. She believes that music is the most effective method of feeling anything.
