Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress famous for her character Bo on the Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. The daughter of Peter an academic, as well as Ilkay Silk who is a renowned performer, actress, and playwright and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her most fond memories of watching TV and attending play rehearsals. Silk featured in a number of commercials while she was young. In 1997, she received an associate's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). After getting engaged in 2008, they were married in the year 2009. The couple renewed their vows on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton in a Jewish wedding ceremony following Silk's changed her religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May 2013. Levi Aaron is her second son, born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk has played a range of TV roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. Silk was nominated for Gemini Awards in 2009 for this role. The Canadian show Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character in the succubus. Silk told fans of the show her good news that she had become pregnant while filming Season 3 during an exclusive pre-show for Season Three. This was presented by Showcase during a special Season Three show held January 6th, 2013 prior to the show's premiere. Silk announced on Twitter June 20th, 2013 that the show would return for a fourth season of production. Fourth season began on the 4th of June 2013 and was produced by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. The CNN Cable News Network named her performance as Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved television Couples. E! named the couple as the top TV Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. As a result of the show's popularity, Silk has garnered a prominent internet following via social media.
